The Townswomen's Guilds
The TG first contacted VISOR in early 2002 requiring a bespoke database application to handle the membership, sales, events, inventory and generally all the Guilds within all of their Federations. From the initial consultation it was
apparent that this would be a sizeable project that would be
implemented in a number of stages. |
The initial design specifications were
created and submitted with the architecture of choice being
ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000.
Once the design was agreed, the development was implemented in controlled stages. At the time of writing, the next phase was about to be implemented. This bespoke Sales Order System will not only handle inventory stock orders and automate stock replenishment alerts, it will also be used for subscriptions and magazine sales. Development will not stop here. In fact further stages are planned which will provide the managment team with a comprehensive data management system designed to allow up-to-date information to be accessed at the click of a button. |
